International Conference:
Historical Culture in Divided Societies
19 & 20 December 2014
at the Home for Cooperation The AHDR and the International Commission for the History and Theory of Historiography (ICHTH) are co-organising a 2-day conference exploring both theoretical approaches of the dominant historical culture in divided societies and a range of public history cultural products.
Scholars, researchers and independent practitioners with a personal involvement in conceptualizing, designing or implementing projects that exemplify new directions in dealing with the past and addressing wide audiences are invited to submit a proposal.

|  Open Call For Theatre Groups That Dare To Perform In The First Buffer Fringe Festival In Cyprus!
Home for Cooperation invites performance groups to participate in the Buffer Fringe, Performing Arts Festival, happening in Cyprus this October in the Medieval Moat by Ledra Palace, Nicosia.
The Buffer Fringe will offer the opportunity to performance groups and actors to present their creative works in the Buffer Zone. Theatre groups and independent actors can apply to participate at the festival by sending samples of their previously staged work.
The Home for Cooperation will cover all technical costs, support, promotional material, stage and place setting.
Performances for the Fringe will be selected by an evaluation committee. The application deadline is 1st September 2014.
The Medieval Moat inside the Buffer Zone is one of the most interesting sites across the island to host artistic expression.
The submitted application should be sent to: admin@home4cooperation.info and should include the following:
- Title and summary of the performance
- Brief information about individual/ theatre group
- Short presentation/ summary of proposed work (300 words)
- Video or photos from your previously staged work ( 5 photos/ or and 5 minute film)
- Duration of the performance should not exceed 45 minutes |  Summer Drama School Workshops
Join Summer Drama School Workshops which aim to strengthen bonds within a community of a divided city, a peace building activity between the two conflicting communities on the island. The programme will introduce learners to acting and improvisation techniques and basic principles of physical theatre. From the sessions there will be a final performance in front of an audience at the end of the workshop period. The workshops will be taught in Turkish, Greek and English.
