Selbst wenn Sie nachts kommen: sobald Sie sich dem „Offenen Bücherschrank“ nähern, geht automatisch das Licht an, damit Sie in Ruhe nach Lesestoff suchen und Ihre gelesenen Bücher loswerden können! Since six months our „Open Bookshelf“ in front of the Goethe-Institut Cyprus (within our compound under the half-circle roof) offers free used books, videos and DVD’s for readers of German, English, Greek and Turkish books. The idea is to exchange reading material and share knowledge with others. Many books , once they are read once, gather dust and that’s it! Share them with other reading fans and put them in our “Open Book Shelf” and get new books there. It’s all for free! We even have free German Language learning books.

Our “Open Book Shelf” is open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week on 365 days in the year! And even when you come in the night: as soon as you come close to our “Open Book Shelf”, a light will automatically switch on and will help you to find your reading material and the free space for the books you want to make available to others!
