Damascus
as it was is no more, the beautiful architecture and culture of many centuries
have been erased and covered with the debris of a brother war. The atmosphere I
have so often admired, a unique world heritage….when I think of it; I feel sad
and desperate.
However,
as I learnt from Syrians, some live here in Cyprus, a handful of artists in
Damascus have in an unbelievable effort used the debris of war to decorate
walls of their city.
There
is not much to say, the pictures speak for themselves but …our respect and
thank you for giving humanity some hope back.
