The opening speeches for the excellent art exhibition of four artists from Kazakhistan and seven artists from Turkey were many and long but I am sure very important. I let my eyes wander around and caught sight of some great works. One or the other work will go into the treasure chamber of the new Museum of Modern Art. The new museum building is in the making and if I remember well its completion was announced for the year 2020, and perhaps around my 80^th birthday I will have the pleasure to be at the grand opening of it with all the great works on display, I hope they will be by country, so we can get a true impression of the many different countries artists’ works.

The art collections are manifold and I realized that it concentrated mostly on Turkey, TRNC and Turkic countries. I may be corrected if I am wrong, but I have seen so many exhibitions lately from just the countries mentioned. It is not all modern art, also historical genre, impressionism and other art movements are represented. The art collections are very impressive.

I went through this latest exhibition in the building of the hospital within the Near East University Area and took my time to study the art works. The reader may enjoy the many photos I took.

The exhibition will be open until 27 September and visiting times are daily 08:00 – 17:00 hrs.
