There
is no better way, no better tool to explain life, to explain nature than the
arts. Art is life, is nature, all questions we have about life is explained in
or by nature or by letting yourself become part of the chain, and by observing
and understanding.
This
is what the artist Yildiz Doyran has tried to make us understand and….she has
well succeeded.
In
her foreword Oya Silbery, the director of ArtRooms, states the sad fact that we
humans have created an illusion of life with the manifestation of our
independence from nature, creating sterile environments instead that turn our
existence into something artificial.
Yildiz
Doyran uses nature as the raw material of her art and presents the
philosophical findings of her research and observance as abstract photographs,
prints and etchings, space installations, acrylic paintings on canvas and
paper.
Yildiz
Doyran was born in 1964 in Hopa on the Black Sea Coast. She graduated from Gazi
University Facuty of Education, Painting Dept. in 1968. She has completed her
Phd degree at Hacetepe University Faculty of Fine Arts Painting in 2002. Today
she still works as Dean of Art, Design and Architecture Faculty at Düzce
University.
Her
works give us an in-depth view of nature, of its colours in light and shade; she
goes right into the core of nature, uncovering the natural rules of science and
the principles of graphic design.
The
exhibition was first opened on May 22 and will run until 30 June, 2018 at the ArtRooms in The House in Girne
(opp. Colony Hotel), viewing times are according to the restaurant hours.
