A woman artist with many facets. Paintings and drawings, monotypes, linocuts, mixed media, actually displayed at the Eaved House / Sacakli Ev in Nicosia from January 25 to February 2, 2010., invited by the Turkish Embassy in the TRNC in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture in the TRNC.
Colourful impressions brought from Kuwait, her home town displayed in her 56th solo exhibition, impressions from her travels and nature. “The complexity of women in modern life”, she says, “is one of her many concerns. The inner and outer beauty of women are major ingredients for a rich, global and cultural life reaching the Islamic and Arab cultures and serving as a bridge to all civilizations.”
She was born in 1951 in Kuwait and studied art in Cairo and Moscow. She is also a journalist and illustrator for Kuwait magazines and newspapers, writer of short stories, children books, poetry and art critics. She received many art awards and is member of the Very Special Arts International Organisation and the European Arts Association in Essen/Germany.
The viewing hours are daily except weekends from 8:00 to 12.30 and 13.30 to 16.45 hrs.
