By Heidi Trautmann
Kate has been away for two
years and we have missed her and her wonderful extra-terrestrial world or rather….the world that could be…
“The garden is tranquil.
Things have been difficult but we are rounding the corner…be of good cheer for
everything must change and out of the sorrow comes joy and the light of
understanding. This great good life is at once both painfully, fleetingly
fragile and yet sweetly deeply beautiful…take heart my friend and be present
right now for here in this one perfect precious moment there is peace.”
Paintings and words come
from a peacefully balanced soul – just as we know Kate Fenson, the Irish girl.
As I enter the Krypt of Bellapais where once again she and her friends show
their latest works, Irish music floats through the hall and makes the
atmosphere authentic because Irish history is full of legends and when I look
at Kate and then at her paintings, it is one source, together with her poetic
words.
We talked – and she
confirmed the words I had used for the announcement of the exhibition : Fairy tales
in our problematic times…we need them and we must look for comfort outside of
our daily routine, away from what we learn in the media, flee into a world of
peace and love.
As usual, artist friends
have joined her in the exhibition with works that add to the atmosphere Kate
has created, Sheila Davis and Svetlana Ziuzina. Unfortunately, Margaret
Bosworth with her own kind of wonder world could not join in because she is not
feeling well.
The exhibition will be open until
26 April, always from 10 am to 4 pm. On
April 04 Kate invites you to a poetry evening at 19:00 hrs.
You can contact Kate Fenson on
facebook.
PS: I will place all photos I have taken, and poems that go with the paintings, at the end of the exhibition; here just a taster....
