It is a true pleasure for me to learn the following news which I just recently received since I have been following the young classic music scene for many years in the concerts organised by their teachers.  I am happy to read that they are sincerely following their path and I wish them happiness and success in the future. 

Uluslararası Gümüşlük Klasik Müzik Festivali’nde Kıbrıs’tan iki genç yetenek yer aldı.

Bodrum Klasik Müzik Derneği’nin düzenlediği ve 18 yıldır süren Uluslararası Gümüşlük Klasik Müzik Festivali’ne bu yıl Kıbrıs’tan iki genç yetenek katıldı.

Festival kapsamında 1-12 Ağustos 2021 tarihlerinde gerçekleşen piyano masterclasslarda farklı ülkelerden gelen 13 genç piyanist adayı çalıştı. Gülsin Onay (Türkiye), Pablo Galdo (İspanya) ve Valerian Shiukashvili’nin (Gürcistan) eğitmenliğinde düzenlenen piyano ustalık sınıfına katılan gençler, eğitimlerinin sonunda  “Kumda Piyano” başlığı altında bir konser verdi. 

Konserde Lefkoşa Türk Maarif Koleji’ne devam eden 16 yaşındaki Deniz Besim Schubert’ten, “Impromptu Op.90 no.4” adlı parçayı; English School of Kyrenia’da eğitim alan 13 yaşındaki Can Sakkaoğlu ise Chopin’den 2 Nolu “Scherzo”yu seslendirdi.

Konser öncesi tüm öğrencilerinin çok özel yetenekler olduğunu ve onların umut dolu bir geleceği gösterdiğini belirten piyanist Gülsin Onay, konser bitiminde katılımcılara belgelerini verdi.

Two young talents from Cyprus took part in the International Gümüşlük Classical Music Festival.

This year, two young talents from Cyprus participated in the International Gümüşlük Classical Music Festival. The festival organized by Bodrum Classical Music Association is lasting for 18 years.

There were various music masterclasses in the festival between 1 and 12 August 2021.

13 young pianist candidates from different countries studied at the piano masterclasses. The classes were directed by important pianists: Gülsin Onay from Turkey, Pablo Galdo from Spain and Valerian Shiukashvili from Georgia. The students gave a concert under the title "Piano in the Sand" at the end of their training.

There were two young Cypriot talents in the festival this year: Deniz Besim, 16years old attending to TMK Nicosia and Can Sakkaoğlu, 13 years old attending to ESK (English School Kyrenia). Deniz Besim played Schubert "Impromptu Op.90 no.4" and Can Sakkaoğlu played Chopin "Scherzo" no2 in the concert.

Famous Turkish pianist Gülsin Onay stated that all the students are highly talented and show a hopeful future. She presented the certificates to the participants at the end of the concert.
